Legion of Pinot 2017

The 2017 Legion of Pinot is back for its fifth vintage! To celebrate this vintage, and how we got our start, we wanted to do something truly special and unique. Fruit was sourced from THE oldest block in Oregon’s famed Ribbon Ridge AVA which was planted in 1982. This single barrel selection is 100% Pommard clone. What is also unique is that unlike previous vintages that have spent ten months in French oak prior to bottling, the 2017 Legion of Pinot spent its first nine months in new French oak before it was finished for another nine months in neutral.

The results of the “Old Vines” Pommard clone with eighteen months in oak is stunning. Bright, voluptuous, intense, and complex are the four words used best to describe this wine.  Enjoy this remarkable wine, and see why we love Ribbon Ridge.

The 2017 Legion of Pinot will drink great from Fall 2019 and onward for 20+.
