Untamed Iron 2014

With iron comes power, and the 2014 Untamed Iron is just that. Big and bold in entry but wonderfully balanced, this wine will blow you away.  It’s a great example of both the intensity and smoothness that comes from Washington’s Red Mountain AVA. Aged for 20 months in 75% new French oak, it features an enticing entry, superb mouthfeel, and long finish.

With great structure and acids, it will be stellar for the next 3 to 15+ years after vintage date. If you are brave enough to enjoy it now, please do; however, be sure to decant a few times, and then rest it for two hours or more. Your efforts will sure to be rewarded. Like “Taming the Shrew”, this wine is just as powerful; but in a poetic sense like Shakespeare himself intended.
